It makes me happy just to look at them

What little girl wouldn't want to help a parent (or grandparent) in the kitchen when she can wear one of these?
Just finished several of these cute flowery aprons in various girls sizes. It makes me happy just to look at them.
Here is a great cookie recipe my granddaughter I used to make cookies last Christmas. Have fun spending quality time with your little one!

By the way, I made all the bias tape by hand. I had forgotten how long that process takes, but I like the results.

  2. Hi, Marcia. Thanks! I used Simplicity 3802. Here's a link: http://www.simplicity.com/p-2019-aprons.aspx

Making the bias tape is tedious. For bias tape that's the same size as what you buy in the store: First, you cut 45-degree strips, 1 to 1.25" wide. Then connect those together with 1/4' seams, into one long continuous strip.

(BTW, there is an alternate method in which you make a skewed tube from the fabric, but I don't like doing it that way.)

    You'll need a tool ($5-8) that's called a bias tape maker. Here's what it looks like: http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3720&PRODID=prd2791

Pull the strip through the tool, ironing as you go.

    Ta-da! You have bias tape.
